Scripts of past productions.

Here are some of the scripts of productions I directed while at Drama Centre London

Here's a short radio play I adapted from the short story Time, Again by Tim Maly and with excerpts for Solomon's Songs of Song. Simple enough the casting is 1 M, 1 F. I recorded an alternative version of this with the actress Bettine Mackenzie which will be up here soon.  Enjoy!
This script isn't a past production but actually an adaptation of the sublime novella by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Chronicle of a Death Foretold. I wrote the adaptation as part of a dramaturgical experiment in updating existing literature to the stage. The result is a five act first draft of a script that requires a high level of choreography and production.  A production of the script would certainly take an imaginative team and a large dedicated cast. Enjoy!
The following is a script of a production concerning the reformation and counter-reformation of the catholic church which has lead to some of the most common current philosophical and social ideologies. The piece was performed leading up to December 2012. The script was performed by three actors, and includes pieces written by them, pieces written by me, as well as material from existing plays that was either taken outright or adapted for our purposes. I haven't included any of the stage directions, but the three actors were constantly creating the worlds of the different segments of the production. Enjoy!
The following is a script I put together and directed with some of the lovely actors on the BA Acting course. The performance was a continuum between social and political theatre, with an attention to energy going into the performing space moving towards a performance where the energy goes out into the audience.  I haven't included any of the stage directions, just the different bits of text we decided we would use. We gathered material from essays, plays, films and whatever we thought we could turn into a performance. The performance had four actors who were constantly creating the different worlds of the pieces. Enjoy!
